• Alabama WMU has initiated an intentional effort to identify, nurture and mentor young women who are rising leaders in Alabama Baptist churches. The purpose of Emerging Leaders  is to develop leadership skills, encourage a global vision, promote involvement in ministry and living a missions lifestyle.
   

• Emerging Leaders must be teen girls in Alabama Baptist churches who have completed grades 9-12 and who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and Christ-likeness.
   

• Participants enjoy an inspirational weekend in which they hear from Christian women, participate in leadership development programs, fellowship with other outstanding young women, study Scripture and worship. The forum is held during WMU & Women's Leadership and Enrichment, In July of each year.
