Alabama WMU welcomes former
WorldSong GA Cabin Leader, Elizabeth Cook as the 2008 Summer
Missions Camp
Director! Elizabeth graduated Summa cum laude from Auburn
University and is a certified elementary education teacher.
Elizabeth comes to her position with a variety of experience. She
teaches in the Auburn City school system and has served as a
Recreation Facilitator for Shocco Springs. Elizabeth has multi-cultural
experience from working with special needs children in Reynosa,
Mexico. She also worked as a Unit Leader for Camp Pinnacle, Georgia
WMU's missions camp.
We welcome her to WorldSong Missions Place!

Our cookbook will feature recipes from Alabama WMU members and
favorite recipes from Alabama missionaries who have served, or are
currently serving with the IMB or NAMB. Profits earned from the
cookbook will go directly to WorldSong. |

WorldSong's History:
-
1949: Alabama WMU began sponsoring
summer camps for Acteens and GAs.
-
1990: Alabama WMU purchased the
620-acre camp at Cook Springs and established WorldSong
Missions Place.
-
More than 68,000 campers have
participated in Alabama WMU's summer missions camping.
-
Since its inception WorldSong has
seen 4,926 professions of faith and 4,415 made commitments
to missions or church related vocations.
